I went downstairs with my Walkaide on...

...one flight at time. I also went upstairs, but it was easier because the Walkaide was meant to walk upstairs. I also went to the mailbox wearing the Walkaide.
It was my first time doing that. Thank you, Dad, for getting
me this.

Community Bank Of Chester County (1st TV Ad)

We (Ben Neideigh & I) did this for Spencer Media in 2001 (I think.)

Rockvale Square Holiday Sidewalk Sales

We did a second Rockvale Square TV spot in 2000. As always, I came up with the concept but Ben Neideigh (from Spencer Media) wrote the copy.

Rockvale Square Memorial Day Sidewalk Sales

Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted this post!

Rockvale Square TV spot in 2000. I came up with the concept but Ben Neideigh (from Spencer Media) wrote the copy. I forget what I originally said for this; something about the director not liking the way it was done because he felt as though it lacked a story behind it and all I wanted to do was a simple TV ad. I, nevertheless, won the day.

Crazy Poems by Alexander (my son)

Me!

My hair is like a jungle for little men.
My eyes are like rivers near a big lense.
My hands are like sticks on a rock.
My heart holds a monster that is
red as fire theat burns.
I live in a refrigerator and
eat anything that doesn't squirm.

Cloud Story
It makes shapes from itself
and it's puffy up there.
It can look like me or you
and it's fluffy to everyone too.
It can tell you things from itself
like if it rains or storms.
It swims high up in the big lake
even though it's white mostly.
It spreads its arms out high
but it's gray when it's stormy or scary.

Take me to the video games
(Take me out to the ball game)
Take me over to the video games
take me straight to the battle.
I want to set off some bombs too
I don't see what is wrong.
So I know some cheat codes
even if you don't.
For it's one, two, three monsters dead
in this cool video game.

Crazy
Monster

Bones

graves

people

comics

bank robbers

hero

Idea

supervillains

Monsters
Cthulhu has strength like a lot of men.
The chainsaw monster can cut well!
The gug has a human shape.
The cannon monster, close to a pirate.
The fire demon walks on the land.
The grave, a pirate ship.

Da boy colors
brown
The color of chocolate.
The color of orks.
Brown as my dog's food.
Dirty like dirt.
blue
The color of mega man.
The color of the ocean.
Ble as my bed.
Blue like the sky.
black
The color of my mind.
The color of a tire.
Black as the shadows.
Dark as darkness.

Haiku
The zombie is so strong
not easy to hurt or kill.
Evil of the doomed.

Tanko
King Kong is so strong
he is so huge he is strong
no one can stop him
He climbs the Empire (State) Building
but he fall in the face of death.

My mind
My mind has a lot of darkness in the back.
Past the strange shadows that move around.
Look out for the beast, smack!
It will attack with its hoove(s) on the ground.
Now you are blind in the darkness.

[untitled]
Monsters make fear.
Or a taco salad.
No it was an enchilada.
So fear the spicy foods.
To hear is to fear.
Even if you are Joe.
Right after lunch though.

Spencer Media from 2000?

These sketches I did for Spencer Media's website from 2000 (I think?). #13a "How will they remember their stay?," Mail Boxes Etc. (the bright blue one) we photographed before 9/11 happened. The sketch was from a snow globe containing a NYC skyline with the water leaking out from the broken globe. They were drawn well before they fired me (in 2003) after I had enjoyed a nice vacation and I had brought everyone gifts (I know I'm venting.) As with everything Spencer Media did (in typical fashion) they weren't used.

#1 "How does Spencer Media see the world [of] adverting[?]"

#6 "Please follow us through the ad process"

#11b "...and sometimes sometimes a butt's just a butt."
tag - "Spencer Media - we're not trying to change the world–this is just the best advertising for Chrissake!"

#12 "Prime cuts avatar" - select-a-sections
Flash? – Same a(s) car purchase ads

Alexander in his 1st puppet show, 10-8-06.

Alexander was in a puppet show at Mountville Church of the Brethren on October 8, 2006. He's been in more puppet shows recently but they weren't videotaped. Chris Zepp was his Puppet Master! Thanks are in order for him, btw. He was an Associate Pastor until recently when he moved to Virginia. Good luck to Alexander! And also good luck to Chris, Amanda and baby Shiloh!
.

Apple's first computer, named Apple I, of course.

I saw this in the Smithsonian Museum.

Sigma Nu Party Posters (Spring 1987)

This is the final one, after that there were no more party posters (except for one which Scott Doody drew.) It was of a pit fiend (I wonder if he still has a copy of it–i.e. I wonder if he can send it to me!!) I thought it was clever but Scott Johnson did not. He was offended because it represented our fraternity as godless heathens. He was much too serious. He even cornered me on the stairs and bitched about it but I told him I didn't do the party poster. I can't remember if I told him who did it. Btw, Penn State no longer allowed the printing of these kinds of advertising.

Doing the party posters was a blast for me!

Just so you know, the Cabbage Patch party poster (Jan. 19, 1985) I did wasn't printed. Chris Perkins didn't think represented our fraternity. I say he was full of hooey!

Apple's first logo!

Sigma Nu Party Posters (Fall 1986)

Thompson Advertising Design Logos (2006)

  • This 1st (upper left) logo was not used, but I liked it anyway. It was of a distlefink playing a saxophone. I liked it because it had an Amish look to it. It was a Berks Jazz Fest 1998 logo, btw.
  • Of course the 2nd one on the top I'm sure you recognize from Amy's tattoo. Berks Jazz Fest 1997 logo.
  • The one's in the upper right corner were all Keystone Wood Specialties logos (the client didn't use these either.)
  • The Adirondack Series was a Glen-Gery Brick logo.
  • Athens Outlet Village was an outlet mall.
  • Hands-on House Children's Museum was a museum of children's activities.
  • The jumping dog logo (Loyal Customer Club–News they can use, delivered by e-mail.) was a spec logo (the real logo I did but I wasn't didn't use it.)
  • The DrugFree Pennsylvania logo I did with help from Sandy Gambone.
  • The Briarcliffe Mall–Mall Walkers Club logo I did for, you guessed it, Briarcliffe Mall (the name was changed to Colonial Mall Myrtle Beach.)
  • The Windsor Eyes logo was done for an eyeglass place.
  • The Philhaven–Promoting hope, healing and wholeness logo was for a "...non-profit behavioral healthcare organization offering a wide range of services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults in south central Pennsylvania."
  • The Lancaster Country Day School logo "...is a private, independent, non-sectarian, coeducational, college-preparatory school." I was proud of this achievement.
  • The next logo was for some hot & mild sauces–Dino's Revenge.
  • Briarcliffe 2000–Watch Us Grow. Briarcliffe Mall (née Colonial Mall Myrtle Beach.) The first name change to Colonial Mall.
  • The next logo was for a school called Dayspring Christian Academy–"A handcrafted education that is unique to the learning style of every student that's the difference at Dayspring Christian Academy. Discover how the Principle Approach can guide your children to the kind of academic excellence that's tailor-made just for them."
  • Living Waters Worship Center is a church somewhere south of here (MD, DE, D.C.?)
  • Willow Bend Estates in Manheim Township, it was for a community of houses to be built on Fruitville Pike.
  • Integrity Bank is a bank in Camp Hill, PA.
  • BCF Group is an insurance company located on Oregon Pike in Lancaster.
  • Manhattan Bagel was designed after 9/11. We designed it & kept the twin towers as an homage.
  • Miller's (Smorgasbord) is a restaurant out on Rte. 30. "Welcome to Miller's, a family owned tradition since 1929."
